We had a short wait but it was worth it. The service was good. Margaritas was good and the steak Baja burrito, and carne asada tacos were delicious. We got guacamole and it was a huge proportion and it was good as well. I'd definitely recommend it and will be back for sure. Still a favorite of mine. 5/5/23 Update: still a favorite. 1/10/25

During our visit to KC from Vancouver, CA. We stumbled across this great local spot while enjoying the beautiful neighbourhoods near by. Rudy’s had exceptional service! Fresh tortilla chips and salsa almost immediately after being seated followed with a drink order and delicious tacos!! This place is as filled with locals and definitely was the place we wanted to find to avoid the tourist hub. We will certainly be back!!

Food came fast! Was delicious and pretty reasonably priced. It felt like we just sat down when food and drinks arrived. Our waitress was on top of everything. The atmosphere was really busy though, seems like a very popular hangout spot! Just keep in mind that it won't be a very quiet spot to eat, and you'll have a decent time, haha.

We order from here frequently and it almost always a great experience. Their fried tacos are AMAZING!!! The service is great as well. It is always clean and neat. Our order has always been fresh, fast and accurate. Keep up the excellent work you're doing. It's greatly appreciated.

Rudy's is another popular Mexican restaurant in Kansas City that you should add to your list to check out. Whether you are visiting Kansas City for a trip or a current KC resident, Rudy's is a popular local Mexican restaurant that you can trust will make delicious meals. We like to go on Taco Tuesday for the unbeatable 1.50 taco special. We also have to start our meal off with the Espinaca Dip! Believe it or not, their most raved about dish seems to be the classic Rudy's hand-battered Tenderloin! The fajitas, combo dishes, happy hour deals, and daily specials are top-notch. Make sure to check out Rudy's Tenampa Taqueria asap!

As visitors to KC, we had a fantastic experience at this local Mexican restaurant! The owner, Rudy, greeted us as we walked in, and he made us feel so welcome! We ordered special Mango-Strawberry frozen margaritas... and they were muy bueno! The food was excellent and were very large portions. They also provided live musicians to go along with the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant !

Good and very friendly customer service and quick with the food orders. Had the Plato Chile Relleno that met the mark! The margaritas tasted fresh and the spicy one has just a little kick but not too much. The guacamole was fresh and a large portion will run you about 9 but worth it if you are a party of 3-4 splitting the order. As an appetizer we had the churros which weren’t bad but I probably would try another dessert option on another visit. Overall I’d easily recommend to give this place a try if you’re near downtown KC, the plaza or Westport. Great job to Rudy and the team!
